Tiny València

An isometric pixel-art map of València, in the spirit of SimCity and of Isometric NYC. Every building is a real one, drawn from above at the same angle, block by block.

It's a map in progress. The coloured parts are painted. The pencil sketch around them is the rest of the city, waiting its turn. New neighbourhoods appear as they're painted;

How it's made

Real 3D city data is rendered from a fixed isometric camera. An image model trained on a hand-picked pixel-art style then repaints it, tile by tile, each tile continuing its painted neighbours so the city stays seamless. The sea, the port basins and the Albufera are drawn in the same style.
